Our Team

Youval holds a PhD and MA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Toronto and a BA in Psychology from Columbia University. His research focuses on collective action, environmental behaviour, and cooperation. At BEworks, Youval applies his expertise in behavioural science, research methods, and statistical analysis, and has worked on projects across a variety of fields including sustainability, financial decision-making, higher education, and group behaviour change. He has lead research projects for private companies and government agencies, which included generating solutions, leading workshops, and communicating behavioural research to stakeholders. His prior professional experience includes independent statistical consulting, market research at AOL, and music education and performance. He is excited about finding creative solutions to real-world problems, collaborating with other passionate scientists, and communicating behavioural science to non-academic audiences.  

Outside of research, Youval is a dedicated musician, and he also enjoys cooking, long-distance running, and mindfulness meditation.
