Sarah is a seasoned behavioural scientist and psychologist, with over 14 years of experience in the field. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Toronto, the science of how the mind arises from the brain, with her dissertation selected as one of the top in the country. Prior to joining BEworks, Sarah worked on projects examining how the complex interplay of brain activity and environmental context influence our choices and behaviour, such as our music preferences. Her empirical research contributed to the development of the world’s leading full-brain simulator. In addition, she instructed university statistics and research methods courses, and worked in her spare-time as a front-line crisis line responder, providing support and counselling to vulnerable populations. Her drive to close any gaps that exist between scientific research and the people who will benefit from it brought her to BEworks, where she serves clients in a variety of sectors, including financial services, energy, insurance, mental health & well-being, technology, and more. She is passionate about transforming society by applying relevant data-driven insights and has worked on such BEworks projects as large-scale field experiments, ML & AI, and is the co-designer of the BEworks Empathetic Communications training program.
