Here at BEworks, as Head of Design, she serves as the primary contact for the design department, helping shape the brand vision of the company throughout the entire customer journey. Under her guidance, the design team has helped develop interventions from website and online structures to prototype blueprinting and beyond. The design department is essential for the creation of new behaviorally informed interventions in digital and physical spaces. Being a mentor and collaborator with other talented individuals, Katrina brings behavioural design concepts into her strategic design goals that deliver on brand and with tested results. Working at BEworks provides her with the flexibility to dream bigger and push creative boundaries. 

Katrina started her journey 20+ years ago working for a newspaper, back when paste-up was the norm and pdfs weren’t really a thing. During those years, Katrina’s experience has spanned all aspects of brand voice, propelling her creative vision and design execution into client projects spanning various B2B and B2C industries. 

What is Katrina’s dream project?

Katrina recently returned to university to pursue her long-awaited passion in archaeology. Combining the love of history and design, Katrina’s dream project would incorporate archaeology into a virtual experience. Creating a walk-through interactive landscape, complete with housing, environment, and artifacts, would provide an educational tool for children and adults alike. This experience would evaluate the hierarchies, social standings, and complex community challenges that past societies faced, and highlight many of our thought-provoking questions about human behaviour and how and why we have evolved into who we are today.
