At BEworks, Dave is the Vice President of Strategy and Head of Practice Innovation. In this role, Dave manages the Practice Team at BEworks and is responsible for ensuring that scientific best practices are adhered to in the delivery of our client work. Dave also directly oversees projects within our sustainability portfolio which are focused on delivering citizen and consumer behavior change programs aimed at reducing demand-side carbon emissions.

Prior to working at BEworks, Dave earned a PhD in Cognitive Experimental Psychology and completed three postdoctoral fellowships exploring human-computer interaction and the influence of automation on mind wandering and human performance. At BEworks, Dave has applied this subject-matter expertise to digital product design, workplace safety, and organizational behavior challenges.

What excites David about the future?

Dave is excited for a future in which sustainability is just as important to the success of businesses as product quality and profitability. In order to realize this future, there is a crucial role for behavioural science to play in designing and marketing products and services that overcome the psychological barriers that prevent us from living more sustainable lives.
