Adalberto Palma is an Executive Advisor at BEworks Mexico and LATAM. Adalberto is a Biochemical Engineer from Tecnologico de Monterrey (1974) and MPS Candidate from Cornell University (1977). He participated as an External Advisor to the Chief of the Office of the Presidency until December 2020 and served as Chairman of the National Banking and Securities Commission (2019 – 2020). Also, he has served as Executive Director of Aspen Institute Mexico (2015-2019); Chairman of the Union of Mexican Financial Institutions, A.C. (2008-2020); Founding Partner of the firms Aperture, S.C. and Proxy Gobernanza Corporativa, S.C.; Independent Member of the Board of Governors of the Instituto para la Protección al Ahorro Bancario (IPAB) (1999-2003); President of Bankers Trust Broker Dealer in Mexico and responsible for Bankers Trust Colombia and Venezuela (1994-1999). He has held various executive positions at Citibank N. A. Mexico (1992-1994) and is the Founder of Aprendizaje Vivencial y Liderazgo, S.C. (Terrela), editor of the book Alimentación: Reto de México - Banamex (1979), columnist, and speaker on issues of corporate governance, leadership, and teamwork. 

Adalberto currently participates as an Independent Director of several top-tier entities ranging from financial groups and broker dealers to renowned hospitals and pension funds. Additionally, he is an Independent Consultant on corporate governance, strategy, and sustainability matters.  

Adalberto is married, has two children and two grandchildren (Constanza and Mateo).
