A top priority for employers is 'employee well-being', but what to do, and how to help employees maintain well-being is not always clear. Programs that provide employees with workplace wellness perks like mindfulness training, yoga, gym memberships, healthy snacks in the kitchen, office napping pods, and more are not always effective, either because they don't address the underlying reasons employees are struggling, or because employees quickly acquire habitual behaviors that make the program ineffective.
